Technical Specialist

About Me

Shang Liu is currently a Technical Specialist at a power grid company in China, where he engages in research and engineering on AI-driven power data management, energy big data mining, and the development and application of large language model-based agents. He recently completed his PhD (2020–2024) in Computer Science at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), advised by Prof. Cong Gao. Prior to NTU, he received his Master's (2016–2019) and Bachelor's (2012–2016) degrees from the School of Remote Sensing and Information Engineering at Wuhan University (WHU), where he was supervised by Prof. Zhenzhong Chen at the Lab of Intelligent Information Processing (IIP).

His research interests broadly include search and recommendation, spatial and temporal data mining, spatial databases, and—more recently—AI for energy data management, large-scale heterogeneous data analytics, and autonomous systems powered by large language models.
